Would you use a voice chat system if we had one?
Talkies please
Ok, I haven't brought this up before for several reasons, but now seems like a REALLY good time for it.
Ken, can we (i.e., you) look into getting a Ventrillo server? Go online to ventrillo.com (or google it), and see what I mean. It isn't that much for the server rental, and it would allow anyone with a mic and speakers to talk/listen to everyone else. I really don't think it is at all a requirement for playing the game, as nothing happens really fast that can't easilly be recovered in minutes. But, now that we perhaps are going to have two active factions, possibly working together on occasion, sharing a common chat system would be great.
It is free to connect ot a server, but the rental would still need paid by someone and I'm way too cheap to toss out $15USD per month, otherwise, I would be playing WoW.
Just a suggestion, and this seemed the right place for it (but feel free to kill this topic entirely).
Peace.

Re: Talkies please
in time we may do. we just need more than 40 or 50+ people online at a time. at the moment we would not have enough players who want to do that in our faction. but anyways good idea and i will certainly look into it.

Re: Talkies please
Ok guys, completely up to you, but if you all want to use talkies, then you can still use the free GSC voice server.
Here is what you do:
1) go to "www.getgsc.com" and download the installer. While there, create a username and password.
2) install the software.
3) run the program, logging in with your username and password.
4) in the GSC window, click on the "voice" tab.
5) at the bottom, click on the "add" button.
6) select "by searching".
7) in the search field type "therapist" and click search.
8.) double click the Antistash/Therapist voice server that shows up on the list to add it to your voice server list.
9) if it doesn't automatically connect you to the voice server, then you can double-click it in the voice server window.
You may have to tell GSC about your mic and/or speakers to get it working. Also, the gain for GSC is hosed, so go in first off and set your mic gain to mid-LOW.
The GSC user interface is MUCH easier than vent, and you should have no problem figuring things out. The quality is not as good of course, but the service is completely free for everyone.
Feel free to post any questions here and I will do my best to answer them.
Peace.
