PvE server trial

Hey everyone, thought I would update you...

I logged on yesterday at 8-ish am EST. The new server had been live for about 6 hours by that time and all my names had already been taken.

I created my new cleric (AmuseMe) and played for about 6 hours getting to level 17. There were only a handful of FB19s finished yesterday, but already level 3 factions are trash talking about TW.

That is the update so far. It seems likely that the same lame ass stupid people will be playing on the new server as play on Harshlands, so in all likelihood I will be returning in one or two weeks.

Did like I don't know, maybe 12 fb19s today. Died six times, lots of fail tanks on server atm, but could just be low levels.

Only gained a few levels, currently level 22.

Found a free voice chat. Ken, check out www.getgsc.com. Totally free voice chat. Might be a good way to go.

Otherwise, I am slowly coming to the realization that the same lame-ass, stupid, fifteen year old losers with something to prove (too small I think) are playing on Arch as are on HL. So, I will almost certainly come back after my week or two trial. I still want to give Arch the benefit of the doubt. Plus, there is a HUGE cleric shortage. I mean, really, it is bad.

I want to remain on the new server through my two week trial, mostly because that will allow me to get solid TW experience. After that, I can't see staying. The fac I joined is full of politics and in-fighting, and kind of really sad stupid adults. I forgive kids a bit more, but these are like folks my age.

You know, I'm not really vulgar usually (I know I push the line, but I prefer a touch of subtlety, not outright blatent, slap you in the face); anyway, I was asked to tone it down because 'a few of us have children who might read the chat over their shoulder'. Now, this was from a person who had dropped many swear words in voice chat. I responded with 'oh rly, i only play when my kids are at school or in bed, maybe you should just play with the kids if they are home '. Now, you all know that I am totally NOT serious. Yes, I am an ass, and I call it like I see it, and if my truthful humor stings a bit, well, maybe that is a sign or something.

I caught hell for it of course. There was more drama and outrage too, from supposed grown-ups, and I just think they are idiots. Idiots who take a stupid game WAY too far. Ok, this post is already too long. Got to 26 today, you would not believe the number of fb19s I did (I honestly have no idea in the past two days, and I know my whole day tomorrow will be the same).

Hey, its been a bit since I posted, sorry about that.

I have been playing WAY too much to get as high as possible before the TW we did Friday night. Let me say, TW is HARD, but also fun. We did not succeed in defeating the final boss, but we took all the other mobs down. After the land is help by a faction, then it becomes PvP, and I'm honestly not sure if that will be easier, or harder.

I am extending my stay on the PvE server for a bit, but not sure how long yet. My goal is to be in a winning TW against mobs, and also at least one TW that is PvP.

I will say, TW factions have to be a bit over-the-top, which makes me think that factions who do it all the time are full of people who spend thousands of dollars ont he game, and play so much that they neglect other parts of their life. As an example, I know that at least three people in the faction over on Arch have spent over $500 and have played at least 8 hours a day EVERYDAY since the server opened. And we lost our TW while other factions won theirs.

I don't judge, its not my place, but I think that once I have the TW experience, I won't be looking for a TW faction again. Not that it isn't tons of fun, because it is, but I can't and won't invest the huge amount of time it takes, and I am standing fast to my "no real money" rule. I won't ever spend a dime on this game, and eventhough I have played too much (for me) over the past two weeks, I am not even close to keeping up (my toon is level 46, and I am the seventeenth highest level in the fac).

I'm not gone, just on extended vacation.

You know how things grow and change?

I just learned a few days ago, the new faction I joined on Arch is also an HL faction (Cobra).

Not sure what the setup is now, but they are good people too.

I really want to stick around through this weekend's TW, then I might flip-flop between the two servers. I'm thinking I might play one day at Arch, then one day at HL.

I have no idea what the future holds at this point though. As things stand now, the kids are off school in about 6 weeks (which means I will be on less for sure), and my unemployment will run out at about the same time. It is really frustrating having looked for a new job for more than a year, and still have nothing to show for it. I keep hoping that things will turn around, and all the sudden there will be work, but there is no assurance of that for sure.

I'm not trying to bring the mood down though, just wanted to pop on and say I miss you guys too. Have fun, and keep your eyes out for me.

Hey we have about 4 8x atm and im still stuck on 81 . most of us are about 6x on average but of course we have lowbies so we feel al-powerful helping them

We have also go a couple of new KOS factions but its no biggie
